A development of 4no 5,000sq.ft light Industrial/Trade Counter Units on the site of a former car showroom at Old Mill Lane Industrial Estate, the development comprises of a block of 3no units and a single unit to the rear. In order to overcome the problems associated with the difference in level across the site, in places some 3m, gabion walls were built to act as retaining walls between the units.
The development also contained a sustainable drainage solution for surface water by way of sinking a 200 cubic metre Hepworth Geolight ‘attenuation tank’ into the ground to satisfy Severn Trent Water Authority’s limit on the discharge into the mains sewer.
